Join us.   United Way of Greater Kansas City is seeking an Education Program Manager who believes that solutions to complex social problems are possible when Kansas Citians are united for transformative change. The Education Coordinator provides support to the Director to ensure Early Childhood Education Grant requirements are being met.   Service coordination includes direct service to early care and education providers, contact with community partners and data management.   The Department of Children and Family Services is a unique department at UWGKC that provides administration of three grant funded early childhood programs in Wyandotte County, KS through partnerships with the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools, The Family Conservancy and local community child care sites. Our work includes building relationships with partners, administration, and direct service to child care programs to ensure we are meeting our outcomes stated in each grant funded program. The education coordinator plays a fundamental role in ensuring our ability to meet outcomes. The role requires the ability to be technology proficient, and the ability to work with children and adults. Throughout each grant year the coordinator assists child care programs to complete the child assessment process which can include facilitating assessments with children, providing technical support with assessments, and recording and entering assessment results. Additionally the coordinator will provide support to departmental projects such as coordinating training events.   This position is based upon grant funding and will be located in the Wyandotte County office with potential for a hybrid remote work structure. We provided quality shelter care for nearly 4,000 animals yearly. We provide daily care, medical care, and enrichment for our shelter animals. We provide foster and forever home placements, pet behavior training services, and HERO Community Outreach.   The Shelter Manager works in partnership with our current Shelter Manager and is responsible for the overall leadership, management and development of the Adoptions and Animal Care teams. Will perform general maintenance duties for make ready apartments for residents and prepares offices for associates on the Community LINC campus. General duties include plumbing, electrical, mechanical, sheetrock repair, painting and carpentry. Will also move furniture when needed to prepare for incoming homeless families.
