POSITION SUMMARY

As the Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality across our operations. Reporting to the FSQA Manager, you will lead the FSQA Technician team and collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Production, Sanitation, and Procurement, to uphold compliance, drive continuous improvement, and reinforce a strong culture of quality and food safety.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY TASKS AND DUTIES

  • Serve as the Site Food Safety and Quality Culture Champion, promoting best practices and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Lead and mentor the FSQA Technician team, overseeing daily responsibilities, training, and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP programs, managing documentation, monitoring activities, and leading corrective actions.
  • Oversee the Cleaning and Sanitation Program, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate data reporting.
  • Maintain and manage BRC certification, including document updates, internal audits, and certification audit preparation.
  • Conduct routine inspections, monitoring activities, and validation of processes to ensure food safety and quality compliance.
  • Implement and maintain 5S systems to enhance organization and operational efficiency.
  • Lead investigations for product non-conformances, ensuring proper escalation and resolution in alignment with company policies.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Logistics to address quality-related issues and drive process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, promoting a safe and structured work environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance FSQA processes and uphold Three Dog Brands’ commitment to excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Nutrition, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience, managing direct reports in a quality or food safety role.
  • Experience with baking, extrusion, fermentation, and low-acid thermal processing.
  • Strong knowledge of GFSI standards and auditing experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred or Desired Qualifications

  • HACCP or PCQI certification.
  • 2-4 years of FSQA experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing GFSI standards.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Burmese.
