CarePortal is currently searching for a full-time Senior Developer who is based out of the Greater Kansas City area.

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on our proprietary software, CarePortal.
  • Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with Marketing, Communications and Finance teams.
  • Ensure coding style and standards are consistent across applications.
  • Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.
  • Utilize back-end data services and contribute to increase existing data services API.
  • Lead the entire web application development life cycle from concept stage to delivery and post launch support.
  • Convey effectively all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues.
  • Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
  • Collaborate regularly with fellow team members including support staff and junior developers.
  • Keep project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serve as liaison between development staff and project manager.
  • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web developmentFoster a positive and productive team culture, promoting open communication, continuous learning, and mutual respect.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization

  • 5+ years experience in an object-oriented programming language such as PHP, Java, C#, Python.
  • Experience developing and supporting API integrations.
  • Hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design.
  • Unit & Integration testing (PHPUnit, Dusk, Pest).
  • MySQL profiling and query optimization.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar relevant field experience.
