As a non-profit, philanthropy plays a key role in the sustainability of our organization. As the development coordinator for Promise Community Homes, you will take a role in building our philanthropy pipeline and work directly with the director of development and other members of the development team to streamline and facilitate our fundraising operations.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein:

  • Accurately process donations and manage fundraising database.
  • Prepare acknowledgment letters and appropriate record keeping.
  • Create fundraising reports and/or dashboards.
  • Work in tandem with finance department to ensure accuracy of contributed income.
  • Conduct research on prospective corporate, foundation, and individual donors, to further our donor pipeline.
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities as may be appropriate.
  • Create and update back end of website to support event registration and online donations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a fundraising environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills resulting in exceptional rapport with people.
  • Able to deal courteously, professionally, and tactfully with the public in a variety of circumstances.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision while adhering to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including composing, typing, and proofing materials.
  • Experience with CRM platforms.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Occasional, pre-scheduled nights and weekends for events and meetings may be required.
