We are seeking a Full-time, Exempt Staff Accountant to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks. This position will assist with all daily, weekly, month-end, and year-end accounting functions; perform reconciliations; and assist with month-end, and year-end financial reporting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate recording of receivables and payables.
  • Record daily cash receipts and post ledger entries.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of operational accounting procedures.
  • Provide support to the accounting team with assigned tasks.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Must have a professional demeanor.
  • Possess strong accounting skills.
  • Be able to work independently and adapt to change.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be able to tactfully deal with interruptions.
  • Set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal (co-workers) customers.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

 

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated success with bookkeeping, accounting and AP/AR, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with multiple software packages desired, including ERP systems and sales tax software.
  • Proficiency in Excel required; Word and PowerPoint proficiencies desired.
