This well-established organization is currently seeking a CNC Machinist II.

 

The CNC Machinist II is Responsible for setup and operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment for standard and non-standard products. All employees are responsible for contributing to a safe work environment, meeting our quality standards, and striving for 100% on-time delivery of customer orders.

Responsibilities

  • Selects appropriate settings and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Operates manual machines as required. 
  • Uses standard inspection tools (ring, plug, micrometers, calipers, bore gages, optical comparator).
  • Uploads and edits programs as required. 
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Understands and follows established quality and safety standards. 
  • Must be able to read blueprints effectively
  • This role is expected to follow approved processes to provide finished goods with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.
  • Keep an organized work area in order to maintain a productive and safe work environment.
  • Interact daily with production coordinators to communicate progress and take additional instruction

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or its equivalent and 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.  
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to take ownership of work
  • Ability to follow processes accurately
