CarePortal is currently searching for a full-time Site Reliability Engineer who is based out of the Greater Kansas City area in Kansas or Missouri.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining reliability automation for a multi region AWS infrastructure.
  • Implementing, documenting and managing continuous delivery systems and methodologies on Gitlab/AWS.
  • Ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of in-house developed applications.
  • Managing and optimizing infrastructure assets to meet service level objectives (SLOs).
  • Collaborating with the development team to identify and fix issues in the development and production environments.
  • Providing guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation on installations, procedures, and requirements for systems.
  • Promoting a positive and productive team culture, fostering open communication, continuous learning, and mutual respect.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps or similar role.
  • Experience with AWS, Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, and similar technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and ability to adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to tackling problems and challenges.
  • Experience with incident management and post-mortem reviews.
  • A clear sense of calling to this role in this organization.
