The American Association of Veterinary State Boards is a not-for-profit membership organization comprised of 62 Member Boards dedicated to the proper and efficient regulation of veterinary medicine in the interest of public protection. The AAVSB is in search of a Full-Time Program Associate for the VAULT department (Veterinary Application for Uniform Licensure Transfer). This administrative position will be responsible for the review and processing of applications and maintaining the accuracy and data integrity of information stored in the organization's database. Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to application processing, database management, project participation and administrative assistance.
Work includes extensive contact with veterinarians and veterinary technicians utilizing VAULT services and participating in the Veterinary Care Elite program, Member Boards, and other related agencies to ensure accurate and timely exchange of examination, licensure, and disciplinary information from AAVSB’s VIVA database.
Compensation: $40,000 - $43,000
Education and Experience:
Required: Associate degree and three years of relevant office and customer service experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in an education setting or nonprofit association. Proficiency in use of digital office tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Must be committed to ongoing professional development. Occasional travel and weekend work might be necessary to fulfill the position’s responsibilities.
The AAVSB is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. This position may be virtual/remote with the understanding that there will be required company-paid travel to Kansas City, Missouri, and other locations throughout the year.
