The Global Orphan Project (GOProject) is searching for a Full-time Digital Marketing Specialist to join the team at the main office in Kansas City, MO. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing effective strategies that ensure GOProject's digital communications are properly created and deployed with compelling user journeys across web, social media, and email. We want every digital interaction to inform, inspire and delight.

 

With unwavering authenticity and thoughtfulness for all aspects of the organization, this specialist will analyze and report the results of the marketing communications while looking for opportunities to optimize and improve performance. This position works directly with the creative team to craft content that fits with the developed strategy. This is a highly collaborative cross-function role that interfaces daily with coworkers, field partners, and other team leaders.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing journeys, web, email, and social media performance. A proven systems problem solver, you will need to grasp the input/objectives from multiple stakeholders and develop effective email and social plans. Culturally, the right candidate will have a passion for the work we do, serving vulnerable children and families in crisis through local church-to-child connections.

Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Specialist works with the Global Orphan Project team leaders to strategize, plan, and implement results-oriented digital, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns:

  • Web/Digital User Marketing
  • Provide user journey objectives and project scope through collaboration with dev teams and leadership
  • Lead web presence and marketing campaign user research across key product areas
  • Drive qualified traffic to the website(s) and complete the user journey in keeping with email and social campaign objectives
  • Track SEO scores and adjust for optimal results
  • Provide analysis of web performance to understand trends and optimize content and engagement
  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce content that drives conversions
  • Email Marketing
  • Coordinate the email marketing calendar and be responsible for flawless execution on all emails
  • Develop database segmentation from Salesforce to tailor campaigns for targeted audiences
  • Provide executive summaries of campaign performance and analyze to identify optimization opportunities
  • Calculate response rates, churn rates, open rates, CTRs, etc. for constant improvement
  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce emails that lead to clicks
  • Social Media
  • Develop and execute strategies for objectives-driven social campaigns
  • Create and execute media calendar(s) and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Monitor, respond, and amplify pertinent posts and affiliates’ activities
  • Knowledge of Facebook/Meta optimization
  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce content that drives engagement

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, New Media, or related field of study
  • 3-5 years’ experience in digital, email, information architecture, UX, or social media marketing
  • Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with database marketing/segmentation; Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification preferred
  • Experience with Google and Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio,
  • Experience with CAN-SPAM and SEM/SEO performance metrics
  • Ability to design and build custom data models
  • Willingness to monitor best-in-class organizations and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
