The Global Orphan Project, Inc. is a Christian nonprofit ministry with a mission to break the orphan cycle through the power of community, commerce, and the love of Jesus Christ. We carry out our mission by equipping and empowering local churches to care for children and families in crisis. We are seeking candidates who understand and are enthusiastic about advancing our organizational mission.

CarePortal (CP), a ministry initiative of The Global Orphan Project (GO Project), is connecting technology that drives action for local kids and families in crisis. This platform, which puts Christian churches at the point of care for each request made on behalf of children and families, can be used to establish a diverse network of churches, child-serving agencies, businesses, and individuals who care. Each network is supported by a team that focuses on recruiting new partners and maximizing impact of current partners by establishing a foundation of trust and excellence. The goal is transformation not only in the lives of hurting children and families, but in the Church, the community, and in child welfare. Learn more at www.careportal.org.

CarePortal is currently seeking to hire a Training Specialist. This is a full-time position that will be based out of the headquarters in Kansas City, MO

Training Specialists are integral to the professional and effective onboarding of new network leaders, as well as to the ongoing development, equipping, and coaching of these leaders. They use their knowledge and expertise on how CarePortal’s platforms work to help develop and improve content that equip users of all types to use these platforms with excellence, resulting in more families and kids being served. Training Specialists are talented, passionate, detail-oriented, and courageous team members who enjoy being challenged to improve systems and make things fun and easy to learn.

When a Training Specialist is successful in their role:

  • CarePortal’s platforms are equipped for exponential growth, both in how many churches are using them and how many families they are equipped to serve.
  • CarePortal is well-positioned to launch and expand internationally.
  • New network leaders experience a professional and effective onboarding process that inspires confidence and directly impacts the quality of the networks they launch.
  • CarePortal is giving the local Church access to the front lines of its community in a way that is enriching to the Church, revolutionizing the child welfare system, and leading to fewer kids in foster care.

CarePortal provides team members with full benefits and highly competitive, market-indexed compensation when compared to similar non-profit roles. Compensation is commensurate with relevant skills and experience and team members are not asked to raise any of their own financial support.
