Versatech, a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuen, LLC, is a trusted partner providing manufacturing, engineering and consulting services to accelerate growth and optimize profits located in Effingham Illinois, is seeking a Contorls Technician to join the team.

 

The Controls Technician perform installation, modifications, testing, and startup of automated machines and control system integrations, and is a Full-Time employee who will report directly to the the Assembly Manager and will work closely with Controls Engineersm Program Managers, and other Assembly Technicians. The Controls Technician

Responsibilities

  • Assist electrical and mechanical installation teams.
  • Locate and review technical documentation of devices for proper installation.
  • Identify equipment problems during installation.
  • Perform start-up testing and collect data for troubleshooting.
  • Assists production and assembly in completion of work to assure compliance and on time delivery.
  • Consults with Program Managers, Engineers, and customers on project design.
  • Coordinates with shop and assembly departments to assure compliance with engineering design.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Fully understand and Follow Lockout and Tag-Out Policies and Procedures.
  • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Proper use of Power and Hand Tools.
  • Proficient in PC operation including Microsoft Office.
  • Cooperative, non-competitive and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to speak and write fluent English, plus maintain confidentiality.

Educations and Experience

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field (or)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related work environment.  

Working Conditions

  • Work schedule is 40-45 hours per week but may require more hours depending on department workload. Normal office environment, but occasional shop conditions assisting production or assembly with completion of work for compliance of engineering design.
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort or strenuous activity including walking, standing, bending, reaching and carrying loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Finger and wrist manipulation associated with drafting and operating personal computers.
