Copaken Brooks is seeking a full-time Security Officer for the Downtown Properties, to maintain a high visual profile to deter criminal behavior on-site in Kansas City. 

DPIND

Responsibilities

  • Observe, report and respond to incidents affecting public safety, personal property, customer service and building facilities- safeguarding customers, merchants and center property. 
  • Enforces rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and responds  to situations quickly.
  • Conducts foot patrol of interior and exterior areas as required by post orders.
  • Provide general customer assistance.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months to one year experience working with the public, preferably in a security function.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain any required police commission. (If have military service, must have Honorable or Under Honorable Conditions discharge on DD-214).
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • CPR & AED certification within one year of hire.
  • Basic knowledge of and experience with fire alarm, CCTV and card access systems preferred.
