    Do you want a fast-paced, exciting and innovative career in a research environment? Altasciences Preclinical Services is currently seeking an Instrumentation Specialist to be based out of the Seattle, Washington Area.

    The Instrumentation Specialist, is responsible for the operation, calibration, maintenance and repair processes of equipment and automated systems. You will monitor and schedule the calibrations and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with SOP and maintenance requirements.

    • Monitor the calibration and maintenance cycles for all equipment and ensure completion according to predetermined schedules
    • Perform applicable routine calibrations, qualifications, maintenance and repair
    • Coordinate with internal departments and outside service vendors on completion of maintenance, calibration and repair activities in a timely manner
    • Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and complete minor repairs, as necessary
    • Perform incoming inspections on new and existing equipment and assist with installation as needed
    • Contribute to the development, review and revision of equipment quality management systems (e.g., electronic data capture systems, department policies/SOPs/work instructions)
    • Assist in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of equipment
    • Review study/facility data for completeness


    • High school diploma with at least 1 to 2 years’ experience managing equipment in a regulated environment preferred
    • Associates or Technical degree specializing in a scientific discipline desired. Equivalent education and experience may substitute
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
