    This well-established organization is currently seeking a CNC Machinist with Lathe and/or Mill machining experience. This position requires the candidate to possess a high level of attention to detail as the position will be making short production runs of tightly tolerance parts.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform the setup, operation and inspection of precision, tight tolerance parts made on a CNC lathe and mill machining center.
    • Perform low volume runs and multiple setups on a daily basis.  Retrieve programs, secure and align tooling/fixtures on a frequent basis.
    • Work as a team to sequence parts through the shop, improve flow and throughput.  Help the team reach its goals of Safety, Quality and On-time Delivery.
    • Share continuous improvement ideas in processes, procedures, tooling, fixtures, sequencing, setups, run times and material selection.
    • Read and interpret blue prints, setup sheets, control setting, tooling requirements and machining method.
    • Follow procedures for work orders and non-conformance parts.
    • Inspect tooling for proper condition and measure parts for conformance to specifications.

     

    Qualifications

    • 2 years CNC machining experience.
    • Knowledge of inspection methods, self-motivated, independent thinker, strong work ethics and desire for a challenging position at Brunson. 
    • FANUC control proficiency.
    • Proficient at reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
    • Experience working with tolerances ≤.0005”.
    • Programming proficiency a plus.

    This position requires the candidate to possess a high level of attention to detail as the position will be making short production runs of tightly tolerance parts.
