    Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Lead Communications Specialist is responsible for development and implementation of communication projects and activities targeting internal and external audiences.  Additionally responsible for: 

    • Administration of programs, policies and activities covering the broad field of corporate communications. 
    • Creation and implementation of communication strategies to increase employee and external stakeholder awareness of the company’s brand, products, services, organization, and achievements
    • Develop and implement social media strategies and maintain content for the corporate website and social media sites
    • Primary writer and quality control for written materials
    • Develop content for marketing materials and create and implement media relations strategies to increase awareness of the organization
    • Maintain a positive image publicly, and create a steady stream of press coverage.


    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or related field with 5 years of experience; 7 to 10 preferred
    • Strong oral and written skills; writing, editing, proofreading, able to confidently present concepts verbally
    • Excellent strategic planning skills
    • Superior organizational and time management skills
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
    • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach
    • Experience with social media marketing and corporate communications
