This well-established organization is currently seeking a Engineer/CNC Programmer to support our CNC machining operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing plans for new products
  • Provide machining estimates for customer quotes
  • Improve the setup times on current products
  • Create process flow diagrams
  • Write CNC programs for mills and lathes, design fixtures, and create work instructions/routings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Five (5) years’ verifiable related employment experience in manufacturing engineering or programming preferred.
  • Highly motivated and driven to continually add value.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and processes used in CNC machining.
  • Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and the application of such instruments.
  • Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions.
  • Working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, inserts, coolants and oils used on various machines.
  • Use CAD/CAM Software (Mastercam) to create programs to machine parts using provided prints from the customer.
