For more than 30 years, reStart Inc. has provided housing and services to homeless youth, families, men, and women to end homelessness in the Kansas City community.


A pioneer in the field, reStart is the only homeless agency in Kansas City serving all homeless populations, including singles, couples, gay, straight and transgender individuals, as well as youth ages 12-18, non-traditional families, persons with HIV/AIDS and individuals with substance use and mental health related issues.


They are seeking a Permanent Housing Case Manager to join their team.


The Permanent Housing Case Manager will be responsible for providing strength-based case management services and to provide mental health education and counseling services for program participants. The permanent housing case manager will customize services to each individual's need and will prioritize services that promote housing stability.

  • Develop and revise goal plans regularly to ensure clients are maintaining their housing.
  • Coordinate continuity of services with collateral agencies and coordinate services in the community.
  • Provide weekly strengths cased case management focusing on housing stability.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client charts, recording progress made, and services provided and entering clients into HMIS system in a timely fashion.


  • Master’s Degree in social work or related degree required. Professional licensure preferred.
  • Three years' relevant experience working with homeless individuals, veterans and/or other underserved populations.
  • Experience working in mental health and/or substance abuse field preferred.
  • Veteran preferred.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test.
