They are currently seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Engineer with EMS & HVAC Systems experience to manage all maintenance functions for their San Francisco Tower property located in Kansas City, MO. This position works a Monday-Friday and on call rotation shift.



  • Diagnose HVAC problems and repair equipment.
  • Respond to tenant calls regarding HVAC system.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on building and all HVAC equipment, including changing filters, belts, greasing bearings as required.
  • Maintain and improve the physical appearance of the building and grounds according to standards of each location including wall repair, door repair, snow removal, lighting and plumbing repair.
  • Promote and ensure customer and staff safety as well as good tenant and public relations.
  • Required to be on an on-call rotation.
  • Additional duties & responsibilities as assigned by management.


  • CFC license required, and class A operator license a plus.
  • Specialized knowledge of electrical, EMS and HVAC systems.
  • Three to five years recent work experience in EMS and HVAC systems (prefer VAV and FPB operation and maintenance experience.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus HVAC training, generally comparable to a comprehensive certification program or an associate’s degree.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must pass background and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
